WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PROJECTED FOURTH IN ECC PRESEASON POLL August 31, 2010 CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. – The Molloy College women’s cross country team was chosen to come in fourth out of eight squads in the East Coast Conference preseason tally, the league publicized on Monday. The Lions got 43 points in the poll, which was voted on by the head coaches of the ECC. Queens College raked 53 points and five first-place ballots as the favorite in 2010. The Knights also finished just ahead of New York Institute of Technology, with the Bears notching 48 points and a pair of first-place votes. [READ MORE]
WEISS PLACES 94TH IN 6K AS WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY RUNS AT NCAA EAST REGION CHAMPIONSHIPS November 8, 2009 BOSTON, Mass. – Graduate Elizabeth Weiss notched a 94th-place showing in the 6k on Sunday afternoon to help the Molloy College women’s cross country team to a 21st-place finish at the NCAA East Region Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES FOURTH AT ECC CHAMPIONSHIPS; WEISS GETS ALL-ECC KUDOS October 25, 2009 BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - Graduate Elizabeth Weiss ended in 14th-place in the 5k on Sunday to get the Molloy College women’s cross country squad to a fourth-place run at the 2009 East Coast Conference Championships at C.W. Post in Brookville, N.Y. For her efforts, she took home All-ECC second-team honors. As a team, the Lions earned a total of 105 points. WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES SECOND AT ST. JOHN’S FALL INVITE October 18, 2009 FRESH MEADOWS, N.Y. – Freshman Shannen Fuertes ran to a fifth-place showing in the 4k on Sunday with a time of 18:04.87 as the Molloy College women’s cross country team came in second place at the St. John’s University Invitational at Cunningham Park in Fresh Meadows, N.Y. Overall, the Lions amassed 35 points. Dominican College beat the Lions out with a 20-point total. The Chargers had four of their runners cross in the Top-10 of the race. [READ MORE]
