NICALEK TIES SINGLE-SEASON KILL RECORD AS VOLLEYBALL TOPS SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT IN FIVE-SET THRILLER, 3-2 September 2, 2010 ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – On Thursday, junior outside/right-side hitter Angelica Nicalek matched her career-high and the school’s season-record for kills with 22 to lift the Molloy College volleyball team to a season-opening 3-2 win versus Southern Connecticut State University in a non-conference tune-up at Quealy Gymnasium in Rockville Centre, N.Y. VOLLEYBALL PICKED FIFTH IN ECC PRESEASON POLL August 30, 2010 CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. – The Molloy College volleyball team was predicted to finish fifth in the East Coast Conference in 2010, according to a tally of league coaches announced on Monday. The Lions, who owned an overall mark of 9-22 last season, garnered 21 points in the poll. NICALEK GARNERS ALL-ECC SECOND-TEAM ACCOLADES November 16, 2009 CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. – The East Coast Conference recently released its year-end awards, and Molloy College sophomore right-side hitter Angelica Nicalek was recognized for her outstanding season with a spot on the All-ECC second-team. In 2009, the Valley Stream native paced the team in kills (349). She was also second in attack percentage (.232), and third in assists (29) and digs (239). Moreover, Nicalek ranked second in the league in kills per game (3.61). [READ MORE]
NICALEK SLAMS DOWN 14 KILLS AS VOLLEYBALL CLOSES OUT SEASON WITH 3-1 LOSS AT NYIT November 5, 2009 OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – Sophomore right-side hitter Angelica Nicalek registered a team-best 14 kills on Thursday night, but it was not enough as the Molloy College volleyball team lost by a 3-1 (15-25, 25-20, 20-25, 20-25) count at New York Institute of Technology in its 2009 season finale at Recreation Hall in Old Westbury, N.Y.
