CROSS COUNTRY RUNS AT CONNECTICUT COLLEGE INVITATIONAL

WATERFORD, CT- The men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Connecticut College Invitational on September 22 at Harkness Memorial State Park. The men's team finished 18th, while the women's team did not qualify for team results.

Sophomore Matthew Badamo (Floral Park, NY) led the pack for the men as he crossed the finish line in 163rd place (30:44) and freshman Neal Reff (Massapequa, NY) finished four runners behind Badamo with a time of 30:57. In 172nd place was freshman John Lynch (Oceanside, NY) and freshman Patrick McCabe (Garden City Park, NY) crossed in a time of 31:30 (179th). Senior Tim Cook (Babylon, NY) and junior Brian Gosioco (Bayside, NY) placed 186th and 190th respectively. Rounding out the men's side was Lynbrook, NY native Daniel Naud (33:18; 203rd) and Merrick, NY native Tom Leninger (34:08; 208th).

Senior Danielle Rita's (East Meadow, NY) time of 27:10 placed her in another spot in the top ten of Molloy's All-Time list. Freshman Danielle Mosca (Valley Stream, NY) finished in 147th place (29:19). Mosca was followed by freshman Brittney Clark (East Meadow, NY) with a time of 32:57 (162nd) and senior Jennifer Cavallo (Farmingdale, NY) with a time of 33:03 (163rd).

The men's and women's teams will travel to Albany, NY for the Golden Knights Joust on October 5.
