Molloy College Volleyball Team donates time to NY Cares
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- The Molloy College volleyball team spent the day at Hillcrest High School in Jamaica, Queens as they volunteered their time with the organization, New York Cares. The Lady Lions painted murals on the school walls and doors with items such as American Flags, public service workers (police, forest rangers, train engineers) and inspirational quotes. The Hillcrest High School walls and doors were tan and the murals that the Molloy College volleyball team painted were dramatic and it gave the students a bright “new” place to learn.
OAKDALE, NY- The Molloy College volleyball team dropped to the Golden Lions of Dowling College in the East Coast Conference Quarterfinals on November 7 at St. John’s Eastern LI Campus.

DOBBS FERRY, NY- Senior Diann Drury (Bellmore, NY) notched 11 kills but it was not enough as the Molloy College volleyball team fell to the Mavericks of Mercy College on October 25. The Lady Lions fall to 13-14 overall and 3-5 in the ECC, while Mercy improves to 9-15 and 1-6.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- Freshman Arielle Wichard (Merrick, NY)recorded 18 kills to help lead the Molloy College volleyball team to a 3-2 conference victory over the Pioneers of C.W. Post on October 23. With the victory, the Lady Lions increase their overall record to 13-13 and their ECC record to 3-4, while the Pioneers drop to 14-14 and 4-3.

ORANGEBURG, NY- Freshman Laura Haynes (Garden City, NY) recorded 14 kills and helped guide the Molloy College volleyball team to a 3-1 victory over the Chargers of Dominican College on October 22. The non-conference victory improves the Lady Lions overall record to 12-13, while Dominican falls to 5-13.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- The Molloy College women’s volleyball team grabbed a 3-1 (30-24, 30-17, 27-30, 30-18) non-conference victory over the Goldey-Beacom College on October 12 at Goldey-Beacom. The Lady Lions then traveled to Holy Family University for a tri-match with Post University on October 13. Molloy took a 3-0 (30-24, 30-18, 30-27) non-conference victory over Post and then dropped a 3-1 (30-24, 24-30, 28-30, 20-30) non-conference match against Holy Family. The Lady Lions now hold a 10-12 overall record.
