ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- The Molloy College women's tennis team took their first victory of the 2007 season with a 9-0 win over the Eagles of Post University on September 21.

Senior Nicole Bennardo (West Islip, NY) and Annie Ayala (South Hempstead, NY) won their match at first doubles (8-1), while Bennardo took first singles (6-0, 6-0) and Ayala captured third singles (6-2, 6-3). Freshman Amanda Colquhoun (West Hempstead, NY) received a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Krystle Shuska in second singles, while sophomore Shannon Skeggs (Massapequa, NY) was victorious in fourth singles (6-0, 6-0). Colquhoun and Skeggs teamed up during second doubles and defeated Bethany Everett and Christine DeJesus, 8-0. Sophomore Meghan McDevitt (Levittown, NY) received a win in fifth singles and Molloy took victories in the third doubles and sixth singles from Post defaults.

The Lady Lions will host Caldwell College on September 23 for a 3:30 PM non-conference match.
