WATERBURY, Conn. (Sept. 22, 2008) - Senior defender/midfielder Joanna Taylor (Seaford, N.Y.) took a game-high eight shots as the Molloy College women's soccer squad played a total of 110 minutes versus Post University and came out with a 0-0 tie at LaMoy Field in Waterbury, Conn. With the decision, the Lions go to 3-2-1 on the year and extend their unbeaten streak to four games. As for the Eagles, they went to an overall record of 0-7-2.

Senior forward Gillian Fortune (Westbury, N.Y.) attempted five shots, while senior midfielder Kristie Caruso (Whitestone, N.Y.) totaled four shots - three of which were on net. Sophomore midfielder Charlotte Laurie (Huntington, N.Y.) collected two shots. Junior midfielder/forward Jessica Molina (Queens, N.Y.) and senior defender/midfielder Corene Norniella (Garden City, N.Y.) had one shot apiece for Molloy.

For Post, sophomore forward Rachel Shivers (Vernon, Conn.) posted a team-high five shots. Graduate midfielder Jackie Sutton (Dryden, N.Y.) and freshman midfielder/forward Megan Hansen (Newtown, Conn.) registered two shots each. Sophomore midfielder Mallorie Michalak (Meriden, Conn.) contributed one shot on goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Elizabeth Johnson (Manchester, Conn.) made a game-high 13 saves for the Eagles, while senior netminder Christina Aquilon (Queens, N.Y.), who was selected as the East Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Week earlier today, stopped five shots for the Lions. Molloy also owned a 22-10 advantage in shots and a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.

Head Coach Danny Longo and the Lions return to action this Wednesday when they close out their three-game road trip in Bronxville, N.Y. at ECC foe Concordia College. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
