CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Sept. 22, 2008) - On Monday afternoon, the East Coast Conference publicized its weekly award recipients for women's soccer, and Molloy College senior forward Gillian Fortune (Westbury, N.Y.) was dubbed the offensive player of the week by the league. Senior netminder Christina Aquilon (Queens, N.Y.) also got recognition as she earned ECC Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks.

She was also responsible for taking a team-high two shots of the Lions' total of seven.
As for Aquilon, she owned a record of 2-0 with a pair of shutouts. She also made 10 saves and posted a goals-against average of 0.00. Moreover, Aquilon turned aside a game-high six shots versus Bridgeport on Wednesday evening. Overall, she is 3-2 with 31 saves and a 0.90 GAA.
