WOMENS SOCCER TO CLASH WITH FELICIAN IN SEMIFINALS OF ECAC DIVISION II CHAMPIONSHIP

ECAC Division II Championship Information
CENTERVILLE, Mass. (Nov. 11, 2008) - The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference put out the bracket for the Division II Women's Soccer Championship on Monday, and Molloy College took the No. 3 position. The Lions will have a semifinal contest counter to the second-seeded Golden Falcons of Felician College on Wednesday at the Dean G. Skelos Sports Complex in Rockville Centre, N.Y. at 3 p.m.
The victor of the match will travel to Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday evening to take on top-seeded Philadelphia University in the final at 7 p.m. This year, the Rams notched an overall mark of 11-7-4 and a Central Athletic Collegiate Conference ledger of 8-0-3. In the league tournament, Philadelphia won one-goal decisions against Dominican College and Caldwell College prior to losing to Georgian Court University in the title game, 1-0.
Offensively, senior midfielder/forward Brianna Reinford (Gilbertsville, Pa.) is the leading scorer for the Rams with 16 points off of seven tallies (three game-winners) and two assists. Sophomore midfielder/forward Natalie Vespe (Acto, N.J.) is slotted second with 13 points on six goals and an assist. In net, senior keeper Sara Hall (Newark, Del.) owns a 10-7-4 record with 114 saves and a goals-against average of 1.10.
Tomorrow's game will feature a re-match from an October 9 clash, which saw Felician defeat Molloy by a 5-2 count. During that contest, senior midfielder Jenna Krowl (Kearny, N.J.) and sophomore forward D.J. Jacobowitz (Staten Island, N.Y.) recorded two tallies apiece for the Golden Falcons. Senior defender/midfielder Joanna Taylor (Seaford, N.Y.) and sophomore forward Jennifer Roveto (Plainview, N.Y.) had a goal each for the Lions.
At the present time, Taylor heads up Molloy in points with 11 (5 G, 1 A). Senior forward Gillian Fortune (Westbury, N.Y.) ranks second with eight points off of two goals and four assists. Senior goalkeeper Christina Aquilon (Queens, N.Y.) is sporting a mark of 8-5-2 with nine shutouts and 73 saves. She has also compiled a 0.80 GAA and an .859 save percentage in 1,348-plus minutes of action.
Jacobowitz currently leads Felician with 47 points on 20 goals and seven assists. Senior midfielder Lindsey Petry (Newton, N.J.) is second with 27 points (8 G, 11 A). Guarding the goal, freshman keeper/forward Amanda Musarra (South Amboy, N.J.) owns a ledger of 10-9 (1 SHO). She has also registered 128 saves, a 2.80 goals-against average and a .744 save percentage.
