FIVE SOCCER PLAYERS EARN CONFERENCE HONORS

NEW YORK- Senior Russ Francome (Hendon, England) and juniors William Bell (Valley Stream, NY), Nick Bell (Valley Stream, NY) and Joanna Taylor (Seaford, NY) garnered All-ECC Second Team honors, while freshman Daniel Patino (Valley Stream, NY) received All-ECC Third Team honors.

William Bell, Nick Bell, Patino and Francome guided the Molloy College men's soccer team to their best season in school history with a 10-4-4 overall record. The previous record of eight wins was set in program's first year (1997). In addition, the Lions currently lead the NCAA Division II in Team Save Percentage (0.871), are sixth in Team Goals Against Average (0.58) and are sixth in Team Shutout Percentage (0.56). Francome holds the third spot in Division II in Goals Against Average (0.529) and Save Percentage (0.880).

Taylor, a member of the Molloy College women's soccer team, led the Lady Lions with 15 points (7 goals; 1 assist) on the 2007 season.
