ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- Junior Joanna Taylor (Seaford, NY) scored the lone goal for the Lady Lions as the Molloy College women's soccer team fell to the Pioneers of C.W. Post on October 23 at the John A. Darcy Field. The 7-1 East Coast Conference loss drops Molloy to 6-9-1 overall and 4-5 in the ECC, while C.W. Post improves to 13-1-2 and 8-1.
The Pioneers placed their first goal of the game on the scoreboard during the 10th minute. Three minutes later, C.W. Post recorded their second goal of the game. At halftime, the Pioneers held the 4-0 advantage. Taylor scored the Lady Lions' goal at the 46:40 minute mark and cut Molloy's deficit to three (4-1). However, C.W. Post answered right back (48:45) with a goal and brought their edge back to four (5-1). Before the end of the game, the Pioneers added two more goals to their total for the 7-1 victory.
The Lady Lions will end the 2007 regular season by traveling to Dowling College on October 27. The ECC game is slated to begin at 1:00 PM.
