WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS IN OVERTIME TO QUEENS

FLUSHING, NY- The Molloy College women's soccer team fell to the Knights of Queens College in overtime on September 25. The Lady Lions fall to 3-6-1 overall and 1-2 in the ECC, while Queens picks up their first conference win (1-3) and improve to 3-5-1 on the season.

Molloy out shot the Knights, 22-17 but neither team was able to post a goal on the scoreboard after 90 minutes of play. In overtime, Queens' Laura D'Amore headed the ball into the left side of the net off a cross by Jennifer Robbins to take the East Coast Conference victory. Junior Christina Aquilon (Queens, NY) recorded nine saves in net, while Valentina Duque made 10 saves for the Knights.

The Lady Lions will return to action on Saturday, September 29 when they host Mercy College at 12:00 PM.
