ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- Junior Kristie Caruso (Whitestone, NY) recorded two goals and handed out two assists as the Molloy College women's soccer team defeated the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College on September 8 at the John A. Darcy Field. The 6-0 non-conference victory gives the Lady Lions their first victory of the 2007 season (1-3-1).

Caruso scored her first goal of the game off a cross by freshman Charlotte Laurie (Huntington, NY) as 4:34 ticked off the clock. The Lady Lions placed their second goal on the scoreboard in the 26th minute when Caruso fed junior Gillian Fortune (Westbury, NY) a through ball and Fortune defeated Goldey-Beacom's keeper. Four minutes later, Caruso netted her second goal of the game and extended the Lady Lions advantage to three (3-0). Molloy scored three more goals in the first half and did not record a goal in the second to take the 6-0 victory.

The Lady Lions will take on Division I, Delaware State University on Tuesday, September 11. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
