ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- The Molloy College women's soccer team was defeated by the Lions of Georgian Court University on September 5 at the John A. Darcy Field. The Lady Lions dropped to 0-3-1 overall, while the Lions improved to 2-3.

Six minutes into the second half, Georgian Court's Amy VanBlarcom placed the ball into the upper left corner of the goal to give the Lions a 1-0 lead. Despite getting off 16 shots, the Lady Lions were unable to convert one for a goal and took the non-conference loss. Junior Christina Aquilon (Queens, NY) recorded six saves for Molloy and Lindsay Hammond made seven saves for Georgian Court.

The Lady Lions will host Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday, September 8 at 1:30 PM.
