ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- The Molloy College women's soccer team dropped their home opener to the Dolphins of Le Moyne College at the John A. Darcy Field on August 29. The 3-0 loss dropped the Lady Lions to 0-2-1 on the season, while the Dolphins improved to 3-0.

Ten minutes into the game, Le Moyne recorded their first goal. Over the next 72 minutes, the Lady Lions held the Dolphins scoreless but Le Moyne extended their lead when Riane Fletcher netted a goal (2-0). Molloy was unable to find the back of the net, while the Dolphins added one more goal to their total for the 3-0 non-conference victory. Junior Christina Aquilon (Queens, NY) stopped 13 shots in net for the Lady Lions, while Le Moyne's Amanda Abbatiello recorded six saves.

Molloy will remain at home to host Georgian Court on September 5. The non-conference game will begin at 4:00 PM.
