GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association recently released its Division II All-Academic Team, and three student-athletes from Molloy College were placed on the roster. Those Lions’ were senior defender Kelly LaClair, senior midfielder Kristin Lang and junior defender Samantha Modik. CLEVELAND, OHIO – Last week, the Athletic Directors’ Association announced its recipients of the 2008-09 Academic Achievement Award for Division II, and Molloy College had 29 of its student-athletes recognized out of a total of 4,020 across 115 institutions. In order to obtain this honor, the student-athlete had to achieve a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better. They also needed to attend the institution for at least two years, and be a member of an intercollegiate team during his or her previous academic year.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – This past week, the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced junior midfielder Kristie Sosnowski of the Molloy College women’s lacrosse team as the 2009 NCAA Division II Statistical Champion for draw controls.
