ADELPHI DEFEATS WOMEN'S LACROSSE
HEMPSTEAD, NY- The Molloy College women's lacrosse team dropped their last regular season game to the Panthers of Adelphi University on Arpil 29 at Hofstra University. The Lady Lions (9-6; 2-4) will wait to see if they are selected for the 2008 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.
Adelphi's (15-0; 5-0) offense scored seven goals during the first half, while their defense kept the Lady Lions off the scoreboard. In the second half, sophomore Kristie Sosnowski (Massapequa Park, NY) notched both of Molloy's goals. The Panthers recorded six goals in the half as they took the 13-2 East Coast Conference victory. Junior Alicia Frisch (Lindenhurst, NY) made 10 saves in net for the Lady Lions.
