WARGO NOTCHES 100th CAREER POINT DURING 15-7 VICTORY OVER BENTLEY

WALTHAM, MA- Sophomore Kristina Wargo (Hicksville, NY) notched her 100th career point during the 15-7 Molloy College women's lacrosse victory over the Falcons of Bentley College on April 18. The Lady Lions improve to 9-4, while the Falcons drop to 5-7.
Sophomore Kristie Sosnowski (Massapequa Park, NY) and Wargo scored the first two goals for the Lady Lions but Bentley answered back with two goals to even the score at two. Junior Kristin Lang (Hicksville, NY) netted a goal with 4:47 left in the first half and Molloy went on to record three more goals prior to halftime for the 6-2 lead.
The Falcons placed the first goal of the second half on the scoreboard as two minutes ticked off the clock. However, over the next six minutes, the Lady Lions had four straight goals and went ahead 10-3. During that span, Wargo assisted on two goals and had a goal to record her 99th, 100th and 101st career points. Bentley made it a five goal game (10-5) but Wargo placed a goal between the pipes and sophomore Lori Sollitto (Wantagh, NY) scored two goals to give Molloy the 13-5 edge. Molloy and Bentley traded the final four goals as the Lady Lions took the 15-7 non-conference victory. Junior Alicia Frisch (Lindenhurst, NY) recorded 11 saves during the game.
The Lady Lions remain in Massachusetts and will take on Assumption College on April 20 for a 1:00 PM.
