WOODBERRY NAMED AN ECAC DIVISION II WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ALL-STAR

CAPE COD, MA- Sophomore women's basketball player Kymira Woodberry (Boston, MA) added another accolade to her list for the 2007-08 season.  She was named an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Women's Basketball All-Star.  Woodberry was named the 2007-08 East Coast Conference Player of the Year, along with receiving First Team All-Conference honors.  She added ECC Championship MVP honors after she guided the Lady Lions to the ECC Women's Basketball Championship on March 9.  Woodberry tallied 15 points, 11 rebounds and five steals in 34 minutes of action during the ECC Championship game.  In addition, she was selected as the 2007-08 All-Met Division II Player of the Year by the National Invitation Tournament and the Met Basketball Writers Association.  She also picked up All-Met First Team honors.  Woodberry, who was named the 2006-07 ECC Rookie of the Year, averaged a double-double with 17.1 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game for the 2007-08 season.  Woodberry led the team with 495 points, 310 rebounds and 23 blocks, while adding 51 steals and 55 assists.
