ABITANTE SELECTED AS MOLLOY COLLEGE JANUARY FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

Women's basketball player, sophomore Lisa Abitante (Brooklyn, NY) was selected as the Molloy College January Female Athlete of the Month. Abitante played in all eight games for the Lady Lions in January and was second on the team with 22 assists. She added 25 rebounds, 11 steals and 73 points, including a career high 23 points during the 68-55 Molloy victory over NYIT on January 23. Her previous record of 16 points was set four days earlier at STAC as the Lady Lions defeated the Spartans, 89-86.
