ALL ELEVEN LADY LIONS SCORE POINTS IN THE 73-44 WOMEN’S BASKETBALL VICTORY OVER FELICIAN

All eleven Lady Lions recorded points as the Molloy College women's basketball team defeated the Golden Falcons of Felician College in a non-conference game on January 28. The Lady Lions improve to .500 with the victory (9-9), while the Falcons fell to 3-15.

Senior Randi Bender's (North Bellmore, NY) three point play gave the Lady Lions the early 13-2 advantage. Bender recorded 10 of Molloy's first 13 points. The Lady Lions kept their distance from the Golden Falcons and at the midpoint of the first Molloy had a 15 point lead (24-9). Entering the locker room at halftime, the Lady Lions held a comfortable 22 point cushion (46-24).

Molloy held the momentum for the remainder of the game to come away with the 73-44 non-conference victory. Bender led all players with 16 points, while sophomore Kymira Woodberry (Boston, MA) picked up a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Lisa Abitante (Brooklyn, NY) contributed 12 points and sophomore Katelyn Dunn (Bethpage, NY) pitched in with eight points.

The Lady Lions return to conference action as they travel to Dowling College on Wednesday, January 30. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
