ABITANTE POSTS CAREER HIGH 23 POINTS TO HELP WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TO 68-55 VICTORY OVER NYIT

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- Sophomore Lisa Abitante (Brooklyn, NY) posted a career high 23 points and helped the Molloy College women's basketball team to a 68-55 East Coast Conference victory over the Bears of NYIT. Abitante's previous career high of 16 points was set this past Saturday against STAC. The Lady Lions now own a 7-9 overall record and a 6-4 ECC record, while the Bears drop to 4-13 and 2-8.

Abitante led all players with 23 points, as sophomore Kymira Woodberry (Boston, MA) grabbed another double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore E.J. Dreyer (Floral Park, NY) pitched in with eight points, six assists and five rebounds and junior Katelyn Dunn (Bethpage, NY) contributed nine points and six rebounds.

The Lady Lions will host Adelphi University on Saturday, January 26. Tip-off is set for 1:00 PM.
