WALSH NAMED TO THE COSIDA/ESPN THE MAGAZINE ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT FIRST TEAM, GARNERS DAKTRONICS ALL-REGION SECOND TEAM HONORS AND SELECTED TO THE LOUISVILLE SLUGGER/NFCA All-REGION SECOND TEAM

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- Junior Michelle Walsh (Bellerose, NY) was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team, garnered Daktronics All-Region Second Team and was selected to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-Region Second Team. 

Walsh, who received All-ECC First Team honors, ranked first on the squad with 44 runs scored, seven triples, six homeruns and a .683 slugging percentage.  She was second with a .387 batting average, 55 hits and third with 27 RBI.  Walsh leads the East Coast Conference in triples, is second in slugging percentage and runs scored and is third in on-base percentage.  Currently, she is 11th in the NCAA Division II in triples per game.  In the classroom, Walsh holds a 3.52 GPA in Childhood Education with concentrations in history and special education.
