KRILOV TAKES FIRST IN NOVICE FLAT AS EQUESTRIAN RIDES AT NASSAU COMMUNITY SHOW

HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (Oct. 14, 2008) - Sophomore Erica Krilov (Woodbury, N.Y.) placed first in the novice flat on Sunday as the Molloy College equestrian team took part in the Nassau Community College Show at the Sweet Hills Riding Center in Huntington, N.Y. She had 11 points overall after a third-place performance in the novice fences as well.

Freshman Cynthia Sollin (Valley Stream, N.Y.) finished second in the novice flat. Senior Sara Rhindress (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) and sophomore Katie Dempsey (Garden City, N.Y.) totaled four points apiece as they tied for third place in the walk-trot. Placing one behind them was senior Danielle Peterson (West Islip, N.Y.), who rode her way to fourth in the same event.

Sophomore Emily Geannikis (Baldwin, N.Y.) added three points with a fourth-place showing in the beginner walk-trot-cantor. Senior Meaghan White (Hicksville, N.Y.) notched a pair of points in the advanced walk-trot-cantor with a fifth-place ride. Also securing a fifth-place ribbon was sophomore Katherine Geldert (Malverne, N.Y.) in the walk-trot.

Lastly, freshman Megan Larkin (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) ended up sixth in the open fences for the Lions, who accumulated a season-high score of 35 points as a team.

Head Coach Carole Gerrity and her squad return to action this Sunday when they compete in the Hofstra University Show, which is slated to start at 9 a.m., at the Country Farm in Medford, N.Y.
