MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY CAPTURES VICTORY AT HOFSTRA INVITATIONAL September 4, 2010 BETHPAGE, N.Y. – On Saturday morning, the Molloy College men’s cross country team got the 2010 campaign off on the right foot as it amassed 11 points to win the Hofstra University Invitational at Bethpage State Park in Bethpage, N.Y. The pairing of sophomore Nick DiBenedetto and freshman Ryan Healy paced the Lions in the 2 x 6000-meter relay with a ninth-place time of 41:42.07. [READ MORE]
MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY SLATED SECOND IN ECC PRESEASON LEDGER August 31, 2010 CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. – The Molloy College men’s cross country team, which finished in second place at the East Coast Conference Championships last year, was voted to place second by the league’s head coaches in the ECC preseason poll, released on Monday afternoon. The Lions netted 56 points and two first-place nods. C.W. Post, the defending title-holders of the league, was the only squad to finish in front of the maroon and white as the Pioneers accumulated five first-place votes and 61 points. [READ MORE]
HUPFER RECEIVES ECC MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY SCHOLAR-ATHLETE OF THE YEAR KUDOS January 29, 2010 CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. – Sophomore Ryan Hupfer of the Molloy College men’s cross country team was honored on Friday afternoon as the East Coast Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He was also one of six ECC student-athletes from the fall season to take home the accolade. In addition, Hupfer is currently majoring in History, and sports a 3.61 grade-point average at Molloy. MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES IN 15TH-PLACE AT NCAA REGIONALS November 8, 2009 BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Matthew Badamo came in 37th-place in the 10k on Sunday afternoon as the Molloy College men’s cross country team ended up 15th at the 2009 NCAA East Region Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. On the day, the Lions notched 415 points as two of their runners crossed in the Top-60. University of Massachusetts – Lowell took top honors. Stonehill College placed second overall in the race.
