MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY EARNS USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC DISTINCTION February 13, 2012 NEW ORLEANS, La. - The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released a ledger of 80 Division II men's cross country teams to earn All-Academic honors, and Molloy College landed on the roll call. The Lions recorded a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.31 during the Fall 2011 semester, paced by a 4.0 from freshman Eric Haslbauer, who is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting. FILIPPAZZO EARNS USTFCCCA ALL-REGION ACCOLADES November 9, 2011 NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Molloy College sophomore cross country runner Nick Filippazzo has been selected to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region Cross Country Team, after his performance this past weekend at the NCAA Regional Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. Filippazzo posted a ninth-place finish in the 10k with a time of 31:59.3. The Top-25 individual finishers from each of the eight NCAA Division II regions are selected to the All-Region team. MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TAKES SECOND AT ECC CHAMPIONSHIPS October 23, 2011 BROOKVILLE, N.Y.– Sophomore Nick Filippazzo ran to a first-place clip on Sunday afternoon to propel the Molloy College men’s cross country squad to a second-place showing at the 2011 East Coast Conference Championships, held on the Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus in Brookville, N.Y. His winning 25:32.88 clocking in the five-mile title run won him East Coast Conference Runner of the Year laurels, after being dubbed as the runner of the week four times over the season.
