BADAMOS FIRST-PLACE FINISH LIFTS MENS OUTDOOR TRACK AT ALL-AMERICAN INVITE
EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. (Apr. 17, 2010) – Senior Matthew Badamo (Floral Park, N.Y.) came in first place in the 1,500-meter run on Saturday with a time of 4:01.1 as the Molloy College men’s outdoor track and field team took part in the All-American Invitational, which was held on the campus of East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pa. The clocking also proved to be a new school record for Badamo.
In the 400-meter dash, freshman Eric Wong (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) registered a record-setting mark of 54.15. He also heaved the javelin a total of 121 feet and three inches (36.95 meters).
Head Coach Al Kilfoyle and the Lions return to action next Saturday when they travel back to the Keystone State for the Millersville Metrics Invitational in Millersville, Pa. The meet is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
