MEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO NO. 8 SNHU, 4-0, IN 2010 SEASON OPENER September 2, 2010 MANCHESTER, N.H. – Sophomore netminder Michael Hunter turned aside a game-high six shots on Thursday evening, but it wasn’t enough as the Molloy College men’s soccer team lost by a decision of 4-0 to eighth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University in its season-opening contest of 2010 at Larkin Field in Manchester, N.H. MEN’S SOCCER SELECTED FIFTH IN 2010 ECC PRESEASON CENSUS August 30, 2010 CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. – The Molloy College men’s soccer team was selected to end up fifth in the race for the 2010 East Coast Conference Championship, according to the preseason coaches’ poll, which was put out on Monday. The Lions, who sported an overall record of 7-8-1 last year, and a league ledger of 3-4, racked up 33 points in the voting process. C.W. BATISTA PICKS UP DAKTRONICS ALL-AMERICA SECOND-TEAM ACCOLADES December 2, 2009 KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Tuesday morning, Daktronics, Inc. in conjunction with AthleticSite.com released its All-America selections for Division II men’s soccer, and senior midfielder Jose Batista was chosen to the second-team. This award continues a great streak for him as he has been selected as the East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a Daktronics All-East Region first-team all-star in 2009.
