MAIONE SELECTED BY LONG ISLAND LIZARDS IN 2010 MLL COLLEGIATE DRAFT
NEW HAVEN, Conn. On Sunday night, Major League Lacrosse held its 10th-annual Collegiate Draft on the campus of Yale University, and senior midfielder Albert Maione of Molloy College was a seventh-round choice of the Long Island Lizards. This marks the second year in a row that a Lion has been drafted into the MLL. Former standout Keith Galante, who played from 2006-09, was selected in the fourth round by Long Island last season.

MAIONE PUTS HOME TWO GOALS IN ANNUAL NORTH-SOUTH ALL-STAR GAME
BALTIMORE, Md. - One day after garnering USILA All-America Honorable Mention distinction, senior midfielder Albert Maione of the Molloy College men's lacrosse squad struck for two tallies in the 2010 LaxWorld/USILA North/South All-Star Game, which was held on Friday at Beldon Field on the campus of Goucher University in Baltimore, Md. Later that night, he was recognized for his All-America award in a banquet at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

MAIONE EARNS USILA ALL-AMERICA HONORABLE MENTION KUDOS; TO PLAY IN ALL-STAR GAME
PERRY, N.Y. On Thursday morning, senior midfielder Albert Maione of the Molloy College mens lacrosse squad received All-America Honorable Mention recognition from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association for his offensive play in the 2010 campaign. He was also selected to play in the annual USILA North-South All-Star Game. For the season, Maione totaled a team-high 50 points on 30 goals and 20 assists.

THREE MEN'S LACROSSE PLAYERS GARNER ALL-ECC DISTINCTION
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. - On Thursday, the East Coast Conference released its All-ECC teams for the 2010 men's lacrosse campaign, and Molloy College was honored with three players, who received recognition from the league's 11 head coaches. Senior midfielder Albert Maione led up the charge with a first-team nod, while junior defenseman Joe Vissichelli and senior attackman/midfielder Matt Dolan raked in second-team, and honorable mention accolades, respectively.

MEN'S LACROSSE WRAPS UP 2010 SEASON WITH 23-8 VICTORY AT CHESTNUT HILL
LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. - Senior attackman Matt Dolan and junior midfielder Peter Boucher recorded a game-high six points apiece on Friday afternoon to power the Molloy College men's lacrosse team past Chestnut Hill College, 23-9, in its 2010 regular-season finale at Victory Field in Lafayette Hill, Pa. Dolan had five assists and a goal, while Boucher ended up with four tallies and two assists. With the result, the Lions capped the season at 5-9 overall, and 4-6 in East Coast Conference action.

MENS LACROSSE SNAPS THREE-GAME SKID WITH 13-3 VICTORY OVER LAKE ERIE
PERRY, OHIO Senior midfielder Albert Maione checked in with a game-high five points off three goals and two assists to send the Molloy College mens lacrosse team past Lake Erie College by a 13-3 decision on Saturday at Alumni Stadium in Perry, Ohio. Senior attackman/midfielder Matt Dolan contributed a goal and three assists to the effort. With the win, the Lions halted a three-game winning streak, and improved to 4-9 overall. They are also 3-6 in the East Coast Conference.

On Saturday, senior midfielder Albert Maione registered a team-leading four goals, but it wasn't enough as the Molloy College mens lacrosse squad suffered a 16-6 loss at the hands of No. 5 ranked C.W. Post in its 2010 home finale at the Dean G. Skelos Sports Complex in Rockville Centre, N.Y. With the defeat, the Lions dropped to 3-9 overall and 2-6 in East Coast Conference play. As for the Pioneers, they improved to 12-1 on the season with a 7-1 post against league opposition.

BOUCHER NABS ECC PLAYER OF THE WEEK RECOGNITION
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. Junior midfielder Peter Boucher garnered East Coast Conference Player of the Week laurels on Tuesday morning for the period ending April 11. He earns the honor after amassing nine points off of four tallies and five assists in a 20-5 rout of Mercy College last Wednesday. Boucher also attempted seven shots on goal, and picked up five ground balls in the victory.

Tied at 10-up with two-plus minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, senior midfielder John Dunbar recorded the eventual game-winning goal at the 2:18 mark to lead Wheeling Jesuit University by the Molloy College mens lacrosse squad, 11-10, on Monday at the Dean G. Skelos Sports Complex in Rockville Centre, N.Y. As a result, the Lions fell to 3-7 and 3-4 in East Coast Conference play. Meanwhile, the Cardinals improved to an overall record of 3-7 and a league posting of 2-4.

MENS LACROSSE SLOTTED NINTH IN USILA PRESEASON TOP-10 LEDGER
PERRY, N.Y. The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association recently released its first Division II tally of the 2010 campaign, and Molloy College was slotted ninth in the poll. The Lions notched nine points in the census, and were locked with the Falcons of Bentley University for the spot. Defending national champion C.W. Post was placed atop the poll as it got 59 points and five first-place votes.

MENS LACROSSE TABBED FIFTH IN ECC PRESEASON POLL
CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. On Friday morning, the Molloy College mens lacrosse team, which is slotted eighth in the Face-Off Magazine Preseason Top-10, was chosen to finish fifth in the East Coast Conference standings for the 2010 campaign. The census was assembled through a vote by the leagues 11 head coaches. Last season, the Lions sported an overall record of 10-3 and an ECC mark of 3-3. They also held a ranking as high as No. 4 on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division II poll.

They are senior midfielders Albert Maione and Matt Dolan as well as junior defenseman Joe Vissichelli. This trio will look to lead the Lions to another successful year as they recorded an overall mark of 10-3 and an East Coast Conference ledger of 3-3 in 2009.

MENS LACROSSE RANKED EIGHTH IN FACE-OFF PRESEASON POLL; MAIONE ACHIEVES ALL-AMERICA STATUS
BALTIMORE, Md. Inside Lacrosse recently publicized its preseason Top-10 for NCAA Division II, and the Molloy College mens lacrosse team was positioned eighth on the tally. The magazine also released their list of All-America honorees. Senior midfielder Albert Maione was selected to the first-team after posting a 2009 season that saw him register 36 points on 25 goals and 11 assists. He also had 21 ground balls and three caused turnovers in the process.

MENS LACROSSE ANNOUNCES THREE NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT SIGNINGS
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. Head Mens Lacrosse Coach Eric Petrullo of Molloy College has announced the signing of three student-athletes for the 2011 season. Coming on to wear the Lions maroon and white colors are John Grebe, Thomas Rhodes and Patrick Foley. Last year, Grebe was selected to the All-Division team for his play in the cage, while Rhodes and Foley excelled at their respective attack and defensive positions.
