BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Matthew Badamo came in 37th-place in the 10k on Sunday afternoon as the Molloy College men’s cross country team ended up 15th at the 2009 NCAA East Region Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. On the day, the Lions notched 415 points as two of their runners crossed in the Top-60. University of Massachusetts – Lowell took top honors. Stonehill College placed second overall in the race.

Graduate Matthew Walsh led the way as he took first place in the 8k by ripping the tape in a time of 28:45.27. The second-place finisher was sophomore Sean Daly from Farmingdale State College.
