The Lions (9-5-2, 4-2-1 ECC) got on the board first in the 22nd-minute when sophomore forward Emmanuel Gamez (Freeport, N.Y.) tallied his eighth goal of the year off feeds from senior midfielders William Bell (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and Michael Topel (Levittown, N.Y.). Two minutes after that, Bell posted his fifth goal of the season off a pass from Gamez, who is now tied with sophomore midfielder Jose Batista (Forest Hills, N.Y.) for the team-high in assists with five.
Bridgeport (12-3-1, 4-1-1 ECC) notched its lone goal in the 83rd-minute as junior forward/midfielder LeRoux Loithan (Kingston, Jamaica) punched a free kick past Molloy senior goalkeeper Ettore Morelli (North Bellmore, N.Y.), who made five saves on the night. Sophomore netminder Milos Suljagic (Belgrade, Serbia) and junior goaltender Mike Tester (Dundalk, Md.) combined to turn aside five shots as well.
