MENS SOCCER FINISHES REGULAR SEASON WITH A TIE AGAINST NYIT
OLD WESTBURY, NY- The Molloy College men's soccer team and the Bears of New York Institute of Technology played to a scoreless double overtime tie on October 28. The Lions finish the 2007 regular season with a 10-4-4 overall record and a 3-3-3 East Coast Conference record. Molloy will wait to see if they are selected for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer tournament.
The game was even throughout the entire 110 minutes of play as NYIT (13-3-2; 5-2-2) took nine shots and had six corners, while the Lions got off seven shots and took three corner kicks. Junior Ettore Morelli (North Bellmore, NY) made six saves in net for Molloy and Christopher Starin recorded three saves for the Bears.
