MEN’S SOCCER LOSSES HEARTBREAKER TO BRIDGEPORT

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- The Molloy College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 East Coast Conference game to the Purple Knights of the University of Bridgeport on October 24 at the John A. Darcy Field. The Lions overall record falls to 10-4-3 and their ECC record to 3-3-2, while Bridgeport improves to 10-3-4 and 6-1-2.

The lone goal of the game came in the 73rd minute when Bridgeport's corner kick was deflected off a Molloy player and into Molloy's goal. The Lions were unable to even the score over the next 17 minutes and took the 1-0 loss. Junior Ettore Morelli (North Bellmore, NY) made five saves in goal for Molloy.

The Lions will finish the 2007 regular season at NYIT on October 27. The ECC game is slated for 1:00 PM.
