MEN’S SOCCER DRAWS EVEN WITH DEFENDING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, DOWLING COLLEGE

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- The Molloy College men's soccer team, who is ranked fifth in the Northeast Region, tied with the Golden Lions of Dowling College, who is currently the top team in the Northeast Region, on October 10 at the John A. Darcy Field. The 0-0 double overtime tie, gives both Molloy and Dowling, 9-2-2 overall records. The Lions are now 3-1-1 in the conference, while the Golden Lions are 4-0-2.

Molloy took 11 shots during the 110 minutes of play, while Dowling got off 10 shots but neither team was able to notch a goal. Senior Russ Francome (Hendon, England) made three saves during the game for Molloy, while Nemanja Veljovic recorded five saves for Dowling.

The Lions will travel to Concordia College on October 16 for a 3:00 PM conference game.
