HUMANN TABBED AS ECC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (Mar. 17, 2009) – On
Tuesday afternoon, the East Coast Conference made its announcement
of weekly award-winners for men’s lacrosse, and senior
Robert Humann (Hicksville, N.Y.) was selected as
the league’s best goalkeeper for the second straight week. He
earns the award after turning aside a game-high 23 shots to help
Molloy College to a 16-3 win versus Southern New Hampshire
University on Saturday afternoon in Manchester, N.H.
On the season, Humann sports a record of 2-0 with 32 saves. He also
owns a goals-against average of 3.69 and a save percentage of .821,
which ranks No. 1 in the nation in both categories. In addition,
Humann has picked up five ground balls and caused one turnover.
Head Coach Joe Catalanotti and the Lions return to the field this
evening when they play out on the West Coast in Belmont, Calif. at
Notre Dame De Namur University. Faceoff is slated for 7 p.m. EST/4
p.m. PST.
