BADAMOS MILE RUN SHOWING LEADS MENS INDOOR TRACK AT LAFAYETTE-RIDER WINTER GAMES
NEW YORK, N.Y. Senior Matthew Badamo registered a clocking of 4:31.1 in the mile run on Friday as the Molloy College mens indoor track and field team took part in the Lafayette-Rider University Winter Games at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York, N.Y. He came just shy of breaking his own record, which was established originally at the New York City Gotham Cup.
BRENTWOOD, N.Y. The Molloy College mens indoor track and field team reached new heights on Saturday as the Lions posted three new records at the USATF/LITF Championship Meet on the campus of Suffolk Community College in Brentwood, N.Y. Senior Anthony Dalli notched a mark of 26.80 in the 200-meter dash to pave the way for Molloy.

Over the course of the past two days, senior Matthew Badamo and graduate Matthew Walsh of the Molloy College mens indoor track and field team had record-breaking times in respective races at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York, N.Y. Graduate Matthew Walsh registered a clocking of 9:21.44 in the 3,000-meter run, which was good enough for a Lions-best 22nd-place showing.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. On Monday, Molloy College Director of Athletics Susan Cassidy-Lyke announced that the Lions will be adding four varsity teams for the 2009-10 season. Al Kilfoyle, who also serves as the head coach for the cross country teams, will direct the schools first-ever indoor and outdoor mens and womens track and field teams. With these new additions, Molloy will have 16 Division II varsity sports.
