MENS BASKETBALL ORGANIZES MIDNIGHT RUN FOR HOMELESS
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. Very recently, the Molloy College mens basketball team pieced together its own Midnight Run. The players left the school in two vans with clothes, food and toiletries for the homeless. They later returned home with nothing left over in the bins.

Sophomore forward Brian Hutchinson posted a double-double on Wednesday with 16 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasnt enough as the No. 8 seed Molloy College mens basketball team fell by a 98-63 decision to top-seeded and second-ranked C.W. Post in an East Coast Conference quarterfinal at the Pratt Recreation Center in Brookville, N.Y. With the defeat, the Lions finished the 2009 season with an overall record of 8-20 and a league mark of 7-11.

CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. Freshman guard Chris Manning landed his name on the East Coast Conference Mens Basketball All-Rookie Team on Tuesday as the league announced its year-end honors. This season, he earned ECC Rookie of the Week recognition four times, and led the conference in steals per game with an average of 3.59. He is also ranked second in the country in that same category.
