ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- Senior Vincent Falzone (Middle Village, NY) notched his 1,000th career point and helped the Molloy College men's basketball team to a 72-66 East Coast Conference victory over the Golden Lions of Dowling College on December 1. The Lions improve their overall record to 4-2 and their league record to 2-1, while Dowling drops to 0-5 and 0-2 on the season.
Eleven of the Lions first 13 points came from senior Glenn Martin (Brooklyn, NY) and Molloy held the 13-9 lead. However, freshman Brian Hutchinson (Elmont, NY) knocked down two free throws to even the score at 29 and the Lions entered the locker room at halftime with the one point edge (32-31).
Within the first thirty seconds, Dowling regained the lead and would keep it for the next three minutes.
