BASEBALL TO KICK OFF 2009 FALL SCHEDULE ON SEPTEMBER 19

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (Sept. 14, 2009) - Head Coach Joe Fucarino recently announced the fall schedule for the Molloy College baseball team, and the Lions will open up their exhibition slate this Saturday afternoon at Suffolk West Community College. Last season, Molloy registered an overall record of 26-19 and an East Coast Conference mark of 16-8, which was second-best in the league. Moreover, the Lions capped off the year with ECC Player, Rookie and Coach of the Year accolades in addition to All-Region recognition.
The ensuing weekend, Molloy will square off with Monroe Community College and Suffolk Community College - Selden. The Lions will wrap up their September swing at Nassau Community College on September 30. Then, in October, Molloy will go to Brookhaven, N.Y. for the Dowling College Fall Tournament (Oct. 3-4). Lastly, the Lions close out fall ball with a noon first pitch at Briarcliffe College on October 10. The annual Alumni Game takes place on the Saturday of 2009 Homecoming Weekend (Oct. 17).
