IRWIN ADDS ECAC ALL-STAR TO LIST OF ACCOLADES

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- Senior Chris Irwin (Mahopac, NY), who was named the 2008 East Coast Conference Player of the Year and to the All-ECC First Team, received ECAC (Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference) All-Star Honors.  In addition, he garnered Daktronics All-Region First Team honors, ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Second Team honors and NCBWA All-Region Second Team honors.  Irwin led the ECC in a number of major offensive categories including slugging percentage (.554), runs scored (49), batting average (.377) and RBI (48).  In addition, he was second in on-base percentage (.472) and triples (5).  On the field, Irwin committed only three errors for a .990 field percentage.
