EIGHT BASEBALL PLAYERS COMPETE IN SUMMER LEAGUES ACROSS THE COUNTRY

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- Head baseball coach Joe Fucarino has announced that eight Molloy College baseball players are playing in various summer leagues across the country.  All eight Lions will be returning to the squad for the 2008-09 season.

Sophomore outfielder/third baseman T.J. Greig (Staten Island, NY) is playing in the NECBL (New England Collegiate Baseball League) with the North Adams Steeplecats, while junior shortstop Patrick Walsh (Bellmore, NY) and junior first baseman Keith Kenny (Hicksville, NY) are competing in the Jayhawk League with the Joplin Slashers in Joplin, Missouri.  Sophomore infielder Joseph Menendez (Manhattan, NY) and junior pitcher Eric Williams (Stanford, CT) are members of the Peekskill Robins in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League as teammate junior pitcher Michael Maddi (Merrick, NY) is with the Long Island Mustangs.  Sophomore outfielder Ryan Heenan (Farmingdale, NY) is competing with the Manchester Yankees in the ACCBL (Baseball Confederation Collegiate League) Jersey Shore League, as freshman Joseph DeGennaro (Massapequa, NY) is playing for the Long Island Tigers of the Tri College League.  Thirteen other members of the Molloy College baseball team are playing throughout Long Island in the Federation of Amateur Baseball League. 

"These players are representing Molloy College throughout the Country over the next 2 months, not only is it great for them, but it is excellent exposure for our Baseball Program, Athletic Department, and College." says Fucarino.  For more information on these players you can click on the links below.
