Baseball to hold major league scout day
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY- Head baseball coach, Joe
Fucarino announced that the Molloy College baseball program will
hold their first Major League Baseball Scout Day on Monday, October
15th at the Molloy College Baseball Field, beginning at 3:00
PM.
Through Major League Baseball, Coach Fucarino has invited all the
30 Major League Organizations Northeast Area Scouts to come and
evaluate the Molloy College Baseball Team.
“This a great way for our student-athletes, Athletic
Department, and Molloy College to receive exposure through the
Major League Scouting bureau,” states Fucarino.
Over the past couple of years the Molloy College baseball program
has had several players sign professional contracts. The Lions
first player to sign was Joe Holden, who was drafted in the 21st
round by the NY Mets in the 2005 amateur player’s baseball
draft.
