scholar-athletes for the Fall 2008 semester, and six players from
Molloy College were selected to the honor roll. Each recipient is
nominated by their school, and then voted on by the Faculty
Athletic representatives for Scholar-Athlete of the Year laud.
Senior netminder Ettore Morelli (North Bellmore,
N.Y.) was chosen from the Lions’ men’s soccer
team. This season, he helped Molloy to its first-ever ECC
Championship and NCAA Division II Tournament appearance. Morelli

Year accolades.
From volleyball, it was junior libero Monika Rodziewicz
(Gdansk, Poland). She closed out the year with 339 digs
(3.11 D/G), which was second-best on the team. Rodziewicz also
served 20 aces and dished 17 assists in 109 sets. Sophomore
