STUDENT-ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE RAISES MONEY FOR MAKE-A-WISH; SAAC ACHIEVES GOAL OF $4,000 FOR 2007-08 SCHOOL YEAR

The Molloy College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held their second annual "Battle of the Athletes" on Tuesday, May 13, 2008.  Molloy student-athletes split into teams and competed amongst each other, as well as coaches and administrators.  The events included various relays, tug of war and musical chairs.  The sophomore/junior team took home the plaque this year, with the senior/freshmen team taking second and the coaches and administrators placing third.  The "Battle of the Athletes" raised $1300 which will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Division II NCAA Charity of Choice.  The Molloy College SAAC raised over $4000 to be donated to Make-A-Wish during the 2007-08 school year with other activities such as "Penny Wars", the 2007 Molloy College Fall Lacrosse Tournament and the selling of Molloy College Athletics t-shirts.
